Group programs
As a group you can do more than you believe and this is perfect for a family, friends or students. Of course a group needs to plan ahead much more as we costum make every group trip to meet their demands and plans. The group trips usually take a couple of weeks of discusions, planing and change of thoughts.
We start with deciding what kind of project your group would like to help and in what part of Ecuador as the possibilities exist in the Amazon, the Andes, the coast and the Galapagos Islands.
When we know the basic thoughts and goals of each unique group we can start to work on the practical plans to see how we in the best way can arrange everything with a project as well as what they might see and do on their free time as we want everyone to have some fun and discover Ecuador and not just work.
The group program is not ready until the group, we, our partner and of course the project say OK to everything, first and then we are ready.
Who can apply
Anybody can take part of these projects as long as they are a group of 5 to 10 friends, family members, colleagues or fellow students.
What is most important is that the group gets along well as they will live and work very close during their whole stay in Ecuador.
Projects
Many of the projects take place in communities and schools to help the local people with things they can't do themselves due to lack of time, money or ideas but we want them to take part in the work as much as possible. Their help can be to prepare the material we need or with transportation for the group while working.
Some examples of projects that we arrange for groups of volunteers and interns:
Repaint schools, orphanages or children centers
Build or repair for example toilets in rural schools, orphanages or children centers
Build play grounds for children in schools, orphanages or children centers
Work in a hospital and help the doctors and nurses with their patients
Work in an animal rescue center to take care of animals
Work in an animal clinic together with veterinarians
Help in a rural health clinic with its patients as doctor, dentist, nurses etc
Work in a park with reforestation and conservation
Something extra
The idea with all of our project is that the participants should get something back in form of culture, memories, adventures and language. This can be arranged in different ways to every group wishes and demands.
Why not to start with a couple of days Spanish classes in our school PUKA INTI either in group classes or one-on-one. This can give so much more to the whole experience as you would be able to communicate with the locals in your project.
Another great opportunity is that we can arrange some days of your time in Ecuador with trips to stunning volcanoes and markets or why not treat yourselves with a day of white water rafting or try zip-line. If you want it's also possible to have some days on the beach or maybe 3 days in the Amazon jungle before going home.
